Haha youre close on both. I really dont like to speed in my Firebird. Not sure what it will hit now. The T56 has a lot of leg left to stretch, but the NA V6 would probably be aero limited to 140.

And, in the spirit of T56 4th gens... an old pictures taken with the potato I had at the time. I think it's 1700rpm @ 70mph?

Oh, and I'd be real curious to hear how the additional gear affects your highway mpg. The 3800s were no slouch on the hwy to begin with (neither were the V8s with the sixth gear, really), so I'm really curious. I don't know if you've posted before, but what is the T56 out of? I feel I'm safe in assuming that it has the 0.50 sixth gear?

Gto t56, so .63 final gear.

Im running factory option 3.42s (uncommon GU6/G80 car without the sport package).

I can cruise at 40-45 in 6th without lugging unless I have to accelerate and hangs around 1000 rpm lol! The car performs really well with it.

It hasnt had much "highway only" stuff and the tune is a little rich still. I get 20-23mpg city right now.

Heads, cam, intake, longtubes and full exhaust are the short & skinny of my mod list lol! Maybe 220-230 whp over when I did 168 whp stock.

Will be going turbocharged soon enough. 400 whp daily and capable of 600 whp on higher settings.
